The Women's Studies Program is an interdisciplinary program that offers a student the unique chance of tailoring his or her study of women from a particular academic discipline. From the historical to the contemporary, science to the arts, WS employs the interconnections of race, gender, class, and other axes of institutionalized inequality to explore women's experiences in time and space. The program prepares students for a variety of careers as well as exposing students to diversity in both theoretical and empirical forms, thus helping students to understand themselves and the world around them.
