Edinboro University

Help Students Succeed.

The fastest-growing student population in the United States is students who are learning English as an additional language and less than 1% of public school teachers are ESL certified, meaning there is a high demand for teachers with these skills.

Edinboro’s program provides students with the expertise needed to meet the various academic needs of the English-language-learning-population. It provides instruction in language acquisition, intercultural communication, assessment and language teaching methodologies. Edinboro University offers coursework leading to a PA ESL Program Specialist Certificate alone or in conjunction with a Master of Education in Teacher Leadership.
