You could put your skills to work every day as you inspire or persuade various audiences to purchase a particular product or service. Professional designers work in advertising agencies, web design studios, retail establishments, interactive companies and social media organizations. The career possibilities are diverse and dynamic, and they all start with a B.F.A. in Applied Media Arts, Concentration in Graphic and Interactive Design.

The program at Edinboro provides you with the knowledge, background and skill set you need to become a 21st century design professional. Under the guidance of experienced faculty members, you will choose a plan of study that best suits your interests and talents. You will have the opportunity to attend workshops and lectures by visiting designers, participate in regional and national competitions, visit museums and professional design studios and even study abroad.

A Design Practicum course gives you valuable experience dealing with clients and helps build your own professional portfolio. You will graduate prepared to tackle the challenges – and to reap rewards – of an exciting career as a design professional. Students will also have an opportunity to work with the faculty and staff of the Center for Branding and Strategic Communication and with entrepreneurs to meet their marketing, public relations and design needs.
