          Power Surge by D.W. Martin

Studio Arts - Sculpture students learn to model, cast, carve and fabricate objects using a range of materials and found objects. The sculpture facility is equipped to support a broad range of materials explorations, and includes a complete foundry. The studios are broadly accessible and feature monitored equipment hours.

Regular undergraduate and graduate critiques help foster an understanding of how an artist’s choice of materials, scale and level of craft inform the image, and how these attributes communicate meaning. Visiting artists and critics offer additional perspectives, while demonstrating their personal ways of thinking about art, about building a career, and explanations of how they have fashioned a creative life.
