College of Science and Health Professions announces 2015 Distinguished Alumni
The College of Science and Health Professions provides a focus on Edinboro University’s commitment to the growth of STEM (science/technology/engineering/mathematics) programs, as well as health and the allied health professions. The College provides numerous opportunities for study in the hard and exact sciences: biology, chemistry, geosciences, physics, mathematics and environmental studies. Applied programs include computer science, psychology, nursing, social work, and speech and hearing sciences. Living-learning communities, internship opportunities, faculty-student travel and research broaden the student experience beyond the classroom.
The future for the College of Science and Health Professions looks bright. EU’s first doctorate, the Doctor of Nursing Practice, is now available. The Associate of Applied Science in Applied Technology program awards up to 27 credits from any accredited post secondary technical school. The RN to BSN program has been revised to an online format. New tracks in biology for chiropractic, optometry, physical therapy and physician’s assistant are now offered. Additional tracks in the computer science program expand options for students in the fields of Game and Virtual World Development; Network and System Administration; Web Development and Implementation; and Mathematics with Actuarial Concentration.
The College’s facilities and equipment are state-of-the-art, with excellent faculty who are very dedicated to students. Every program offered by the College prepares its graduates for diverse and high demand careers.
