Clubs & Organizations

Health and Physical Education

PennWest Edinboro encourages Health and Physical Education students to get involved in clubs and organizations that are related to their personal and professional interests.

Student Clubs

HPE Majors Club – The HPE Majors Club helps students build and expand on experiences and knowledge to prepare them for professions in health promotion, human performance, sport and recreation administration, and teaching health and physical education in public and private school settings and institutions. Students participate in a variety of community service events and professional preparation activities. They also have the opportunity to attend the annual Pennsylvania State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance Convention for further professional development and networking opportunities.

Exercise Science Club – The Exercise Science Club provides students with practical experiences that reinforce the concepts relating to human performance and exercise science and provides service to the community for events that relate to exercise science. Major activities include attending the annual conference of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine (MARC-ACSM) in the fall and volunteering at the Boston Marathon in April.
