Janine A. Bastow
Janine is a freshman music education major with an emphasis in vocal music. She hopes to get plenty of opera experience at Edinboro University. Janine took a senior by-pass from Erie Central High School.
Edmund L. Elko
Edmund is from Swissvale, Pennsylvania, and a senior music major at Edinboro University. His major instrument is violin, yet he also plays French horn and tuba. Last semester he was the featured violin soloist in Mediation from Thais with the Edinboro University Orchestra.
Larry J. Graham
Larry is a sophomore at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. He is studying music so that he will be certified to teach at both the elementary level and secondary levels. Larry says "my long term ambitions include receiving a masters degree in music history or performance." Some of the honors that he has received include: District, Regional, and State choruses; and the Westminster College Honor Chorus.
Molly M. Lubiejewski
Molly is not a music major, but she has come to this opera class a background mostly in musical theatre.
Sarah A. Martin
Sarah is not a music major but says "music has had a bit of a spell over me." She is from New York where she studied clarinet for eight years. She has always been active in music and continues to be at Edinboro University.
Robert J. Roxby, Jr.
Robert is currently a junior at Edinboro University, studying both vocal performance and composition. He is a tenor and studies voice under the guidance Dr. David Herendeen, Baritone. Robert has performed in several operas and opera scenes at the university including Gian Carlo Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors. Robert has composed several pieces of art song, most recently a three movement work entitled 'A Poet's Journal.' His other works include a brief string quartet and scores to an original production of Dracula and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Robert hopes to get his Master's degree in composition and to continue his studies in voice.
Christopher M. Smith
Chris is currently a junior at Edinboro University pursuing an Honors degree in Music, concentrating in vocal performance/opera. He plans on continuing on into graduate studies after completing his B.A., and one day hopes to appear either on stage in an opera house or on Broadway, or both, whichever the case may be.
Randy L. Tapper
Randy is pursuing a degree at Edinboro University in music and theatre, and he maintains a full-time job at the Gertrude A. Barber Center for the physically and mentally handicapped in Erie. He is the managing and artisitic director for the North East Community Players, a new community theatre in North East, PA.
Gary L. Wilsoncroft
Gary is from Clearfield, Pennslyvania where he attended Clearfield Area schools. He began participating in the music programs at school by taking saxophone lessons in elementary school. He later took piano and organ lessons. After beginning to study organ he had a goal to be an organ major and get a degree in music. He chose Edinboro because of its strong teacher certification standards. Gary was selected for District Band 3 times and Regional Band 1 time on Bassoon, and also District Chorus 2 times. He hopes to continue in music and and get a graduate degree. Gary hopes to teach so others can enjoy what he enjoys most, performing music.
Tracy L. Wolstonscroft
Tracy is a junior music major and a soprano studying voice with Dr. David Herendeen and Lucie Herendeen. Tracy has been featured in many performances at Edinboro University and she has received awards in vocal competitions.
