Option One

For those continuing to Methods 500

For students continuing on to take Methods 500:

• You are required to turn in a research proposal
• You will carry out your research in the 2nd semester
• Your proposal must include a literature review
• Your proposal must include a methods section which details how what methodology you will use to collect data
• Your proposal will be weighted more toward the methods section and less toward the literature review
• You will be required to turn in a draft of your instrument
• Your proposal must have an ethics section
• Your proposal must have a bibliography

Option Two

For those not continuing

For other students:

• You are required to write a more extensive literature review
• You will turn in a research proposal with a methods section
• You will turn in an instrument
• Your proposal must have an ethics section
• Your proposal must have a bibliography
• Your proposal will be weighted more heavily toward the literature review than the methods section
