The Department of Speech and Communication Studies offers two undergraduate degrees (Speech and Hearing Disorders and Communication Studies) and two master's degrees (Speech-Language Pathology and Communication Studies).

The department has been an active and highly visible component of Edinboro University for over 20 years and continues each semester to grow more diverse and exemplary. The department boasts some of the best and brightest faculty the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education has to offer, but the learning in the department takes place as much outside the classroom as it does inside. Students can become involved in a variety of activities within their chosen field, including student organizations, conferences, and the annual Edinboro Highland Games.
