GUIDELINES AND CRITERIA
About the Award
The Edinboro University of Pennsylvania Alumni Association (EUPAA) proudly acknowledges, celebrates and honors distinguished Alumni whose remarkable achievements and contributions epitomize the tradition of excellence at Edinboro University. Presented for the first time in 1976, the Distinguished Alumni Awards were established to pay tribute to those extraordinary Alumni who have used their Edinboro University education to bring excellence to their professional achievements, their avocational accomplishments, and-or their community service involvements (local, state, national, or global). In addition, the DAAs were established to honor dedicated Alumni who, through exceptional service to Edinboro University, have helped to advance the institution's mission and goals.
Distinguished award recipients are representative of the rich diversity of Edinboro University, and they provide inspiration for others. Through their enduring commitment to excellence, integrity, civility, diversity and service, they serve as stellar examples for future graduates of Edinboro University.
Award recipients are honored at the Distinguished Alumni Awards dinner held in the Spring of each year on the campus of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. Honorees are also invited to visit and speak to classes in the discipline of their major or a related discipline, if appropriate.
