Blackboard Login Instructions


1. Enter your User ID - This will consist of the first eight characters of your Live@edu e-mail address. For example, if your Live@edu e-mail address is jd012345@scots.edinboro.edu, your username would be jd012345 .


* To locate your Live@edu information, log into your S.C.O.T.S. account and follow the related links posted there.

2. If you have not already set-up your Live@edu account, please view the helpful tutorials below:
* How do I use my Live@edu Account for the First Time (pdf)
* How do I Activate My Live@edu Account?
* If you experience any difficulties accessing/creating your Live@edu account, please contact Edinboro University's Technology Help Center at 814-732-2111.

3. Enter your Password - This will be your six digit birth date in mmddyy format . For example, John Doe's birth date is January 1, 1980. His password would be 010180 .

Note: Blackboard is different from Scots or your Network account. Just because you changed your SCOTS Pin or your email password, this will not affect your Blackboard password.

Faculty: continue to use your Edinboro network account as your Blackboard account and your 6 digit birthday in mmddyy format as your Blackboard password.

 Blackboard for Edinboro Faculty

Edinboro Faculty are invited to join the Blackboard for Edinboro Faculty Community for more information on upcoming conferences and Blackboard workshops as well as Blackboard tutorials that are available online.  Resources such as TurnItIn and Repondus are located within this community as well pilot information for testing various Blackboard products are available.

To join, click on the community tab, then within the catelog, search for Faculty Organizations.  Click the Join Button located to the left of the link to the organization.
