Edinboro University faculty members use Blackboard to enhance instruction in their face-to-face courses. Blackboard enables a faculty member to easily place a portion or an entire course on the Web. Departments or organizations use the Blackboard Community to communicate and distribute resources. Blackboard contains modules for Announcements, Course Content, Online Tests/Quizzes, Discussions, Groups, Chat Room, Email, and a special tool for Assignments. The Learning Technology Center can assist you with the how-to's of using Blackboard, as well as course design and pedagogy. For more information or to set up an appointment, contact Cori Dunagan at cdunagan@edinboro.edu

Getting Started: All courses that have been assigned a CRN (course registration number) already have a blackboard shell build for them and the faculty and students have already been enrolled. All the faculty member needs to do to be able to have students view their course blackboard is to make it available.
For additional resources, check the menu on the left for link to common problems encountered when using a Blackboard to supplement your Face to Face courses. Also, be sure to check out the help resources availble to faculty under the Control Panel within their courses.
