Curriculum Requirements Sheets and Plan of Study Forms

The Curriculum Requirements Sheets provide students with a form showing all course requirements for a chosen area of study. Sheets are available for the AS Business Administration degree program, the BS Economics degree program, and each concentration of the BS Business Administration program. As the curriculum requirements develop over time, new versions of these sheets are posted to provide the student direction in completing graduation requirements. As a student, the version of the program that applies to you depends on your semester of declaring your concentration to the program; the date following the curriculum name provides direction in this regard. If you are unsure regarding your semester of program admission (also known as the "catalog term"), please see your academic advisor or the department chairperson for this information.

Students should fill-in these forms as courses are completed and bring them to all meetings with an academic advisor. Students may also perform a degree evaluation operation using their SCOTS account to examine program requirements completed and remaining.

Recommended course sequence sheets are also provided for each program. These forms provide a sample course plan showing which courses are recommended each semester in order to complete the program in two years (ASBA program) or four years (BSBA and BSEC programs).

Declaration of Concentration Form (BS Business Administration students only)

A link to a declaration of concentration form is provided below. Beginning August 2010 all students admitted into the BS Business Administration degree program will be enrolled in the pre-business curriculum where they must demonstrate ability in introductory courses prior to declaring a concentration and progressing to junior-level courses. Specifically, a student may declare a program concentration once he or she has completed 36 hours of course work, including at least 3 of the business foundation courses, and demonstrates a 2.25 GPA overall and in the major courses. Once these requirements are met, the student should submit this form to his or her advisor for approval.

STUDENT RESPONSIBILITY: PLAN OF STUDY

An Academic Advisor is assigned to each student at Edinboro University.  This Academic Advisor is a faculty member in the student's major department.  The student should meet with his/her Academic Advisor routinely for individual advice on developing and implementing a plan of study to meet the student's degree requirements.

The University also provides academic advising assistance.  The Academic Success Center is located on the second floor of Baron-Forness Library. For inquries, please call us at 814-732-2218 or Fax 814-732-2210.

Academic Advisors, however, can only advise; meeting graduation requirements is the student's responsibility.
