What is ESP?
The Edinboro Success Program (ESP) is offered to a select group of incoming students. Students who agree to participate are provisionally accepted into Edinboro University of Pennsylvania as "Undeclared Associate Degree Level." ESP students who meet the academic requirements of ESP continue to the next semester of the academic year or summer session. ESP provides students with the academic services and support needed for college achievement.

Why was my son/daughter chosen to be in the Edinboro Success Program?
He/She did not meet the REGULAR admission requirements of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.

Is this a special education program?
No.

Will my son/daughter graduate on time?
Yes. The first semester courses fill general education requirements and electives, with the exception of English 010. 

Does my son/daughter need to live in the ESP Living Learning Floor?
No, but it is recommended.

Are there any additional costs besides tuitions, fees, books, and room/board?
No; unless the student has a documented disability and chooses to utilize services provided by the Office for Students with Disabilities.

My son/daughter was accepted at other colleges, without any conditions. Why should he/she attend Edinboro University?
ESP was designed to give students the academic support needed to be successful!

What are the conditions?
Complete the semester with a 2.0 QPA and attend study sessions.

How long will my son/daughter be in the Edinboro Success Program?
After completing their first semester (fall, spring, or summer session) with a 2.0 QPA, and declare a major the following semester.

What if my son/daughter does not meet the conditions?
He/she does not proceed to the next semester

Can my son/daughter receive financial aid?
Yes, it is strongly recommended that student complete the FAFSA.

Can my son/daughter enroll in any classes?
No, a schedule is developed for ESP students.

Can Edinboro Success Program students do work study?
Yes, but not to exceed 15 hours per week.

Will courses from other colleges transfer?
Yes, but not to substitute courses required to take for the Edinboro Success Program.

What are study sessions?
These study sessions are a 2-hour supervised, scheduled session. Students must attend Monday through Thursday.

Will my son/daughter be labeled because of the Edinboro Success Program?
No. No one knows that students are in ESP, unless they tell other students.
