- Department of Communication and Media Studies
The Department of Communication and Media Studies offers two undergraduate degrees (Journalism/Mass Communication and Communication Studies) and a master's degree (Communication Studies).
The department is among the most active and visible components of Edinboro University and one of the top communication programs in the region. Department faculty possess a broad range of professional and academic credentials, but the learning in the department takes place as much outside of the classroom as it does inside it. Students are encouraged to become involved in a variety of co-curricular activities, ranging from our campus media organizations and chapters of PRSSA and Lambda Pi Eta to Boro Online and the annual Edinboro Highland Games and Scottish Festival. The department also hosts the annual Northwest Pennsylvania High School Journalism Day and Competition.
