Celebrating 85 Years of Women’s Varsity Athletics
Mark your calendars!  In celebration of 85 years of Women’s Varsity Athletics at Edinboro University, a special event will be held on September 17, 2011, featuring Robin Roberts.

Robin’s reputation as a standout college basketball player, her years as a respected sportscaster and commentator; her interviewing skills with renowned politicians and newsmakers; and her inspired anchor skills on Good Morning America make her one of the most esteemed females in her field.
An Evening with Robin Roberts will  not only help to raise scholarship funds, but also provide a message to our students, faculty, staff and friends - sharing Robin’s  philosophy on the importance  of purpose and  passion in all that we do and how women’s sports can have a powerful and positive effect on our student-athletes.  Her courageous and public battle with breast cancer also resonates with the community.  In addition to a reunion of alumni women athletes from the past nine decades, our goal is to raise $85,000 for women’s athletic scholarships.
