Edinboro University of Pennsylvania being strongly committed to the conservation of energy and natural resources has completed or is in the process of completing/scheduling numerous energy related projects.
The largest project was a $9.7M Guaranteed Energy Savings Project with Honeywell Building Solutions resulting in a savings/cost avoidance of $1.3M annually. Click here for details.
Several buildings including Highlands Buildings 1-8, the Human Services Building, and the Cooper addition and renovation use (or will use) geothermal systems for heating and cooling.
The University has or will be applying for LEED certification for several buildings including Highlands Buildings 1-4, the Human Services Building, and the Cooper Hall addition and renovation.
The University has received a grant from the Pennsylvania DEP to install a 250 KW photovoltaic solar array near McComb Fieldhouse.
