Awards are granted annually to several of our deserving undergraduates on a competitive basis. Applications are accepted in February and the awards are announced in April. Recipients are selected by a committee composed of Department of Geosciences faculty. Our annual awards and scholarships consist of the following:
Outstanding Departmental Senior Award
Awarded each year to a graduating major earning the highest grade point average .

Award consists of a new Brunton compass awarded to a deserving student based on academic achievement and service to SGE and the Department
