Dear EUP Graduate Student:
Edinboro University's Graduate student Council (GSC) officers would like to welcome you, whether a new or returning graduate, and wish you a was successful academic year! Starting with only two members in 2008, the GSC has flourished into a very active graduate student organization. Our mission is to serve the graduate student body. We see ourselves as the voice of the graduate student body and we partner ourselves with the Graduate School Administration to ensure that each graduate student experiences academic and professional growth to their fullest potential.
• Graduate Hour is a monthly event that invites you to engage in professional development opportunities and socialize with students from all disciplines. We are holding our second Graduate Hour of the Fall semester on Wednesday, November 30, 2010 at 6 pm at Edinboro Lanes. Please join us and bring friends and family if you’d like.
• GPDP - Did you know that the graduate school can help to defray your expenses for travel to conferences and other professional development events? The Graduate Professional Development Program (GPDP), a subcommittee of GSC, offers you partial funding for expenses related to professional development opportunities and has enabled past graduate students to travel throughout the country to present scholarly work at various conferences and professional events. Many students are awarded funding each year and we look forward to reviewing your application this year. We do ask that you make every attempt to attend the GPDP meeting when your application is reviewed in order that we can ask appropriate questions and expedite your request. GSC/GPDP - Graduate Student Council (GSC) and GPDP will be meeting on these dates during the Fall 2011 semester. All graduate students are welcome to attend. All meetings will be held in the Biggers House conference room. Please mark your calendars accordingly:

Graduate Professional Development Program (GPDP)
ALPHA EPSILON LAMBDA
The Edinboro University Graduate Student Council is seeking to reactive our honor society, Alpha Epsilon Lambda. Alpha Epsilon Lambda is the honor society of graduate and professional school students. The mission is to confer distinction for high achievement; promote leadership development; promote scholarship and encourage intellectual development; enrich the intellectual environment of graduate education institutions; and to encourage high standards of ethical behavior. The Alpha Nu Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Lambda was chartered in June, 2004, but has become inactive for a variety of reasons. Click here to access AEL's website.
