    Grants and Sponsored Programs Staff

    The Office of Grants and Sponsored Programs (GSP) is responsible for the institutional administration of all proposals.  Additionally, GSP is responsible for the award negotiation, certifications and institutional compliance for grants and sponsored programs except financial records.

     

     Director
    Rene Hearns, Phd (cand), MPA, CRA

                                 

     

    Rene has been in the field of research administration for more than 20 years and the field of accounting for more than 30 years.  She has held positions as Consultant, Director of Sponsored Programs and Research, Budget Manager, Grants Coordinator, Departmental Administrator and Bookkeeper.  She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with an Accounting Major (Baldwin Wallace College), a Master’s Degree in Public Administration (Cleveland State University) and is currently completing her Doctorate in Urban Studies and Public Policy (Cleveland State University).
