Greek Week General Rules

- Greek Week General Rules

Each event will be run only once. No participation points will be awarded unless that organization participates in the event.

All judges scores are FINAL. There will be no debate on winners or appeals. There is an advisor present at all events and if that advisor feels it was judged unfairly, they will determine the outcome.

The Greek Week chairs and Committee member will decide on any conflicts, with no outside interference or discussions with participants or team captains. We reserve the right to make any final decisions based on the individual situation.

The Greek Week chairs, committee and advisors also reserve the right to disqualify any organization for physical; and verbal harassment.

Any complaints must be filed by the organizations Greek Week representative to the Greek Week chair within 24 hours after the conclusion of the event.

An organization that does not show up to the event they are in charge of, or are not prepared to run the event will be disqualified from the event.

An organization will be disqualified if they do not show up within 10 minutes after the posted starting time of the event.

ABSOLUTELY NO public drinking or violation of the Edinboro Code of Conduct will be permitted. This includes events which are held off campus. ANYONE WHO VIOLATES THIS RULE WILL RESULT IN HIS OR HER ORGANIZATION BEING IMMEDIATELY DISQUALIFIED FROM GREEK WEEK. Consequently the organization, as well as the acting individuals will be subject to discipline procedures by the University.

You must be an ACTIVE MEMBER of your organizationsand enrolled with at least 12 credits at Edinboro University to participate in any events during Greek Week. This may be checked at random throughout the week.

Any decisions made by the judges are FINAL. CLEAN UP MUST BE DONE AFTER EACH EVENT, ESPECIALLY AFTER Greek Sing and Greek Dance. The organization delegated to run the events will be held accountable for all clean up as well as the committee members.
**FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THESE RULES WILL RESULT IN POINT DEDUCTION OR EXPULSION FROM GREEK WEEK COMPETITIONS. THE GREEK WEEK CHAIRS AND COMMITTEE WILL BE THE DECIDING FACTOR.

In case of a tie, the total points of the first and second places will be added together then divided equally between the two organizations. Example: For a minor event, 20 + 14 = 34, therefore each team will receive 17 pts.
