Edinboro Homecoming Weekend is a University-wide event that provides students, faculty, administrators, staff, alumni and the community at large the opportunity to rekindle old relationships as well as forge new ones. Many activities are planned throughout the weekend and thousands of alumni return to the "Boro" to participate in a variety of family-oriented and fun activities. Homecoming Weekend traditionally begins on Friday with the Annual Alumni and Friends Golf Outing, followed by an evening reception that includes a DJ and hors d'oeuvres. The remainder of the weekend includes, but is not limited to: a grand parade prior to the football game, complete with student organization floats, bands, local organization units and much more; "Brunch on the Lawn" compliments of President Pogue is hosted during the parade; there are games for kids; an alumni tent at the football game; and a 5K Tartan Fun Run. Between the thousands of alumni who return and the community involvement, it is the biggest weekend of the year.
