Collaborative for Excellence in Teacher Preparation--PA
The mission of the Collaborative for Excellence in Teacher Preparation in Pennsylvania (CETP-PA) is to improve the training of future K-12 teachers, pre- and in-service, by promoting constructivists (inquiry-based) pedagogy.
Goals of CETP-PA
- Changing selected university content courses taken by education students to reflect research-based effective pedagogy.
- Supplementing the math and science content of science and math education courses.
- Introducing the paired supervision of science and math student teachers by content and pedagogy specialists.
