Dr. Jim Roberts
Associate Professor

Dr. Roberts has been a member of the HPE department faculty since August 2001 and served as department chairperson from 2011-2014.  He completed his Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology at the University of Pittsburgh and was the Director of the HPE Human Performance Laboratory until Spring 2011. He currently is a certified Health Fitness Specialist through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM); is a past president of the Mid-Atlantic ACSM (2009) and serves as faculty co-advisor for the Exercise Science Club.

Research Interests: Ergogenic aids, sport performance predictors, music and Rates of Perceived Exertion during work production.
