Dr. Laura Miller
Assistant Chairperson/Associate Professor
Dr. Miller has been a member of the HPE department faculty since August 1999 and currently serves as the Assistant Chairperson to the department as well as the HPE Junior Field Director . She has co-authored five new courses for the department; serves as a faculty mentor; advisor to the HPE Club; coordinator of the American Red Cross campus blood drive; and serves as Program Coordinator for the Health Promotion concentration. She is committed to improving the quality of living for students and the University community.

Presentations & Publications: Dr. Miller has recently presented at the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance national conference; the Pennsylvania State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance state conference, and at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference for the American College of Sports Medicine. Presentation topics include: emergency contraception; abuse in college dating relationships, and consumer issues in health. Dr. Miller has recent articles published in the Journal of American College Health, and the The Pennsylvania Journal of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
