As indicated when President Wollman appointed Dr. Michael Hannan as Interim Provost & Vice President of Academic Affairs, a full search for the permanent position would take place. That search process is now underway. In August 2013, President Wollman announced the formation of a search committee that would include faculty members from each School or College, an additional APSCUF representative, and other members representing areas within academic affairs and areas that connect closely to academic affairs, including an AFSCME representative. The committee is made up of the following members:
Tina Mengine, Vice President of Advancement, Chair
Dr. Jean Jones, President, APSCUF
Dr. Brian Zimmerman, College of Science and Health Professions
Dr. Joel Erion, School of Education
Dr. Asri Jantan, School of Business
Michelle Vitali, College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences
Dr. Erinn Lake, School of Graduate Studies and Research, School of Education
Dr. Andrea Wyman, Library
Barbara Plunkett, AFSCME
Timothy Pilewski, Records & Registration
Ads were placed in national publications and the committee is in the process of reviewing the 43 applicants for the position. Initial interviews of those ranked the highest are set to begin prior to Thanksgiving with the anticipation that campus visits by the top three will occur no later than mid-January. The initial interviews are being conducted via Skype.
Progress on the process, campus visit dates and candidates application materials will be posted here regularly.

|Campus Visit Itinerary for Provost/VPAA Candidates|
February 13, 2014
This week the Provost Search Committee completed its evaluation of the candidates. We would like to thank everyone who took the time to meet the candidates and express their opinions via the rating instrument, emails and calls. The committee has forwarded two names to President Wollman for consideration. We believe that we have two solid choices for Provost and VPAA and are confident that President Wollman will make a thoughtful decision based on the goals and needs of the University.
