Located to the left as you enter the library, the Circulation Desk is responsible for the circulation of all library materials, including course reserves.

Our hours of operation vary during holidays and between semesters.  Please call the Circulation Desk if you wish to visit us at those times.

Fall and Spring Semesters
Monday - Thursday...........8 am - midnight
Friday..................................8 am - 6 pm
Saturday ............................9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Sunday...............................1:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Summer Sessions
Monday - Thursday..............8 am - 10 pm
Friday.....................................8 am - 6 pm
Sunday .................................2 pm - 10 pm

LOAN PERIODS
For books, the loan periods are as follows:

Undergraduate Students and Area Residents..........3 weeks
Graduate Students, Faculty and Staff..........................3 months

For other items, the loan periods are:
Compact Discs......................................................1 week
Curriculum Materials............................................3 weeks
DVDs........................................................................1 week
Periodicals (Magazines & Journals)..................Do not circulate
Reference Books...................................................Do not circulate
Reserve Materials..................................................Varies by item
VHS Tapes..............................................................1 week

All items include a grace period of one week.

BORROWING
- YOU MUST HAVE UNIVERSITY ID TO CHECKOUT MATERIALS.
- Patrons are responsible for due dates.
- Area Residents
     a. Residents of Erie, Crawford and Warren Counties over the age of 18 are eligible.
     b. Present a valid Driver's License or state issued ID with a current home address.
     c. No fee.
- Confidentiality
The Baron-Forness Library is governed by Pennsylvania Act 1984-90, Section 428 Library Circulation Records, which states, "Records related to the circulation of library materials which contain the names or other personally identifying details regarding the users of the State Library or any other local library which is established or maintained under any law of the Commonwealth or the library of any university, college, or educational institution chartered by the Commonwealth or the library of any public school or branch reading room, deposit station or agency operated in connection therewith, shall be confidential and shall not be made available to anyone except by a court order in a criminal proceeding."

- Online students only - living more than 30 miles from Edinboro University of PA

RENEWALS
- Items may be renewed online or by telephone 24-hours a day by calling 732-2273.
- Patrons are responsible for due dates.

FINES
- Responsible for your due date
- All fines are non-refundable
- 1 week Grace Period
- $0.15 per day per item (Retroactive after Grace Period if books are not renewed or returned)
- Maximum $10
- Notices
     1st - 1 week before due date as a courtesy reminder
     2nd - Day after due date
     After 37 days, item(s) automatically go to "Lost" status
     3 months of "Lost" status, account is transferred to Accounting Office
- Reserve fines vary
- Lost Items
     Items go to "Lost" status 37 days after due date
     $50 minimum (prices vary depending upon item)
     $5 processing fee

- Hard copies are shelved at the Circulation Desk
