Dr. Holtz has served the Elementary, Middle, and Secondary Education Department and the University in many ways through the years. She currently serves on the university wide Curriculum Committee and is the director of the PennLake Writing Project, one of the National Writing Project sites. Dr. Holtz has presented at international, national, regional, state and local conferences. Her work has been recognized through awards like the Lucile Cornetet Award for Professional Development from The Delta Kappa Gamma Educational Foundation and the NWP 2012-2013 SEED Grant for Professional Development in a High-Need School.

Dr. Ziegler has held numerous positions in public education as a teacher, counselor, and school administrator before coming to Edinboro in 2009. He is currently the Program Advisor for the Post-Masters Principal K-12 and Supervisory Programs, Chair of School of Education NCATE Dispositions Continuous Improvement Committee, Chair of the Middle and Secondary Educational and Educational Leadership Department (MSEL) Curriculum and Sabbatical Committees, and serves on the University-Wide Curriculum Committee (UWCC).
