Dr. Ziegler has held numerous positions in public education as a teacher, counselor, and school administrator before coming to Edinboro in 2009.  He is currently the Program Advisor for the Post-Masters Principal K-12 and Supervisory Programs, Chair of School of Education NCATE Dispositions Continuous Improvement Committee, Chair of the Middle and Secondary Educational and Educational Leadership Department (MSEL) Curriculum and Sabbatical Committees, and serves on the University-Wide Curriculum Committee (UWCC).

2013 - Earned Quality Matters Program Seal of Distinction for EDUC 788 - Research in Education. The Quality Matters seal is a nationally recognized indicator of quality assurance and continuous improvement in online learning.

EDUC 788 is the first online course at Edinboro University to earn this distinction.  

Trivia Highlight

Dr. Ziegler performed Carnival of Venice with the Valley Forge Military Academy Band in the East Room of the White House during a Presidential Inauguration.
