LeAnne Wistrom is Principal Flute of the Erie Philharmonic Orchestra and Principal Flute of the Lake Erie Ballet Orchestra. She is Flute Instructor at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, and was awarded “Teacher of the Year” honors by the Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association. For many years, Ms. Wistrom taught, performed and headed the woodwind studies area at Luzerne Music Center, Lake Luzerne, NY. She has performed with the Chautauqua Symphony, the Buffalo Philharmonic, and the Toledo Symphony. As a chamber musician, she has collaborated with the Philadelphia Piano Quartet, the Luzerne Chamber Players, and with members of the Philadelphia Orchestra, the New York City Ballet Orchestra and the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. She studied flute at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music with James Pellerite and has also worked with Kenton Terry, Jeffrey Khaner, Maurice Sharp and Marcel Moyse. Ms. Wistrom holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Indiana University, Bloomington.

Ms. Wistrom’s flute students have been prizewinners in the Music Teachers National Association competitions at the National, Eastern Division and State levels.
