RN-BSN Overview

The RN to BSN program is designed to enroll only currently licensed RNs whose pre-licensure program was either a 2-year associate degree (ADN) or a hospital-based diploma school program. This accelerated RN-BSN Program underscores the importance of academic preparation of the baccalaureate-prepared nurse in the areas of community/public health nursing, nursing research, evidence-based care, and nursing leadership. These components are explicit in this program, which provides directed education in these vital areas to enhance the professional role of the Registered Nurse. The nursing courses were specifically developed for this program and its intended audience so they could be offered online as well as face-to-face to better serve the needs of working RN students desiring to complete a baccalaureate degree in nursing.
