Wheelchair Repair Services

Wheelchair Repair and Maintenance

Wheelchair repair service is available, usually on Monday and Thursday from 8am to 4 pm through and approved vendor.  Students subscribe to this service through a fee of $450.00 each semester.  This fee allows the student access to a wheelchair repair technician and incidental parts (under $25 per visit).  Students not subscribing to this service can use the repair services on and they will be billed for each visit.  Students can access the technicians as often as needed while they are on campus.  Repairs can also be made by contacting the OSD Occupational Therapist on days other than when a technician is available.  For repairs at night and on weekends, an emergency call list is available; however, additional charges may be incurred for these services.  The OSD maintains an inventory of typical repair parts and used parts to make repairs quickly.  If the student's wheelchair cannot be repaired quickly, some loaner chairs are available.  Please contact the Office for Students with Disabilities for repair arrangements and loaner chair, if needed, on an emergency or daily basis.  The wheelchair repair room is located in the basement of Rose Hall.
