       review.
       Accreditation has been received for all but one track.
       Full-time secretary (since restructuring) - May-03
IV.  Outcome Assessment (Board Policy 1997-01) - List the major intended student learning outcomes
      of the program and the strategies used during the past five years to assess student growth relative
      to each outcome.  For support programs list  the major program goals and the strategies used to
      assess student satisfaction or success.
      1.   Students completing the master's program in counseling will be well prepared to serve in a
             variety of human service areas-Alumni Survey.
      2.   Graduate students will be intellectually prepared with the knowledge and skill necessary for the
            counseling profession. - Comprehensive Exam, National Exam.
      3.   Students will exhibit competent counseling behaviors diverse cultural and social situations,
            Clinical course grades, Practicum and Internship site supervisor evaluation.
      4.   Students will exhibit ethical behavior in the field. - Practicum and Internship evaluation.
      5.   Students will be able to integrate theory and research with professional skills and techniques. -

V.         Program Strengths Identified in the Review
             A strong history of counselor preparation
             Well qualified and committed faculty
             National accreditation (CACREP & CORE)
             Adequate library holdings
VI.   Areas in Need of Improvement Noted in Review
       Additional teaching staff - need to make concerted effort to meet FTE/faculty ratio and class size to
       maintain accreditation.
       Some loss of identity as a Department since incorporation into Professional Studies.
       Need to obtain accreditation for Community Counseling.
VII.  Compliance with Board of Governors' Academic Degree Policy (Policy 1990-06-A)
        Provide information on the total credits required for each undergraduate degree, the ratio of
        general education, major and electives, and upper and lower division courses.

        3.   Continue to explore distance education and on-line course offerings.

        5.   Maintain CACREP & CORE Accreditation.
        6.   Make a concerted effort to meet FTE/faculty by ratio and class size to maintain Stano.
