The Community Outreach Center provides Edinboro University students the opportunity to participate in various community service projects throughout the year. Current projects include Random Acts of Kindness in Edinboro (R.A.K.E.), Edinboro Cares holiday project, Hunger Banquet poverty simulation, Will Walk for Food Freshman Service project, and much more!
The Community Outreach Center at Edinboro University is committed to providing social change to the community by:
1. Increasing awareness of community needs
2. Offering real-life opportunities for hands-on learning
3. Partnering with non-profit agencies, organizations, and universities
4. Educating students committed to civility and respect for others
Edinboro University's Community Outreach Program participates in several AmeriCorps programs including the VISTA project, AmeriCorps VISTA is the national service program designed specifically to fight poverty, and the SISPA project (Scholars in Service to Pennsylvania).
