Psi Chi

National Honorary Society in Psychology

The Edinboro University Chapter of Psi Chi was established in 1971. This Honorary Society, which is administered by the American Psychological Association, recognizes students for outstanding academic achievements in psychology coursework. Inductions into this society occur in Fall and Spring of each year. The minimum criteria for consideration of acceptance into this honorary society is:

  • Completion of at least 12 semester hours of EUP psychology courses with at least a 3.4 G.P.A. in this coursework. This coursework should include Experimental Psychology, but it may be in progress.
  • An overall gradepoint average of at least 3.3.

When an induction has been announced, students who meet the above minimum criteria should fill out preliminary applications which may be obtained in the Department office. Inductions are held in both the Spring and Fall semesters.
