Located in the Edinboro resort community, our campus housing offers variety to our students. When students grow weary of studying in their residence hall room or suite, they often visit one of the conveniently located dining facilities, the fitness center, or explore the campus and community. Popular outdoor study and relaxation areas include the shore of Mallory Lake, near the Standing Stones at the Highlands, or in one of the picnic pavilions.

The residence halls are supervised by professional and student staff who endeavor to create a vibrant environment for students. The staff works with residents to provide programs and activities that compliment the university's mission and students' academic interests. Our resident students support and attend performing arts, visual arts, athletic events and various other campus and community events. In addition, our students have a strong commitment to community service.

ABOUT SELECTING HOUSING
FOR NEW STUDENTS

Residence Life and Housing personnel make every attempt to place requested roommates together and to match as many preferences as possible.  The sooner students return their housing agreement with completed preference information, the better the chances that requests may be met.  Staff members work diligently to meet as many requests as possible.  Please know that inquiries may be made by any student by sending an email to boroliving@edinboro.edu.  In order to verify the identity of the requestor of information, email must be sent from the student’s SCOTS account (ending in @scots.edinboro.edu).

WE ARE UNABLE TO GUARANTEE ROOM OR SUITE TYPE REQUESTS.

HOW DO I GET MY HOUSING AGREEMENT?  Housing Agreements are sent from the Admissions Office to students who have been admitted and who have paid the advance tuition deposit.

IS THERE A DEPOSIT?  Housing Agreements are to be returned promptly, along with the $75.00 housing deposit.

HOW DO I GET MY PREFERRED ROOM OR SUITE TYPE?   Returning your completed agreement promptly will assist us in honoring your request.  Please know that there are only a limited number of room types, and single rooms are generally not available to new students, as returning students and those who return materials early choose those spaces.

HOW DO I REQUEST A SPECIFIC ROOMMATE?  Students who want to live together should return their Housing Agreements at the same time, or together if possible.   Both students must make the request for the other.  Spaces will not be held awaiting a preferred roommate.

I HAVE A DISABILITY AND REQUIRE AN ACCESSIBLE ROOM.  WHAT DO I DO?  Students with a disability who require accommodation are asked to indicate that request on the housing agreement.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF I HAVE BEEN PLACED IN HOUSING?  Once a housing assignment is made, the student may see the assignment on their SCOTS account.

I RETURNED MY AGREEMENT AND DEPOSIT AS SOON AS I GOT IT, BUT DIDN’T GET MY CHOICE OF ROOM.  WHAT HAPPENED?   Students begin receiving Housing Agreements beginning in March.  Assignments then are made based on preferences, whether or not roommate preferences may be made, etc.  Not all requests can be honored, due to timing and availability.

I SAW MY ASSIGNMENT AND WANT TO CHANGE IT.  Changes to housing assignments may not be made without extenuating circumstances.
