President's University Diversity Council

Council Budget & Diversity Funding Request
Consistent with the Council's charge, the purpose of this committee is twofold:
-
Establish the criteria for Council funding of campus diversity requests for specific projects/ activities and diversity initiatives that provide evidence of the educational value of diversity, review requests for funding, and make recommendations on which funding requests should be forwarded to the Council for review, discussion, and approval

Establish a budget for the University Diversity Council for submission during the University's budget cycle.
Diversity Grants & Research Scholarship
The purpose of this committee is to collaborate with the Office of Grants and Sponsored Programs to secure external funding for diversity research and diversity projects, diversity conferences, and diversity-related scholarly activities.
Diversity Recruitment and Retention
The purpose of this committee is to explore the current status of diversity recruitment and retention and make recommendations on ways to improve these two areas that impact these two areas. In collaboration with the Diversity Grants committee, the recruitment and retention committee's deliberations might include, but not be limited to, the exploration of possible research opportunities available to colleges and institutions that seek to enhance the diversity of its faculty, staff, and administration populations.
Student Leadership Engagement
The purpose of this committee is to engage campus student leaders on campus in projects to support campus diversity and inclusion.
Diversity and Climate Survey
This task force is charged with developing a campus diversity survey in order to establish a benchmark from which to approach and gather evidence around the educational benefit of diversity at Edinboro University, as well as, on the climate for diversity and inclusion on campus.
Council Identity & Communications
This task force is charged with developing an identity (logo) for the Council and communication strategies which include but are not limited to, electronic newsletters, Council web page, and other forms of campus communication.
