Graduate Social Work Association (GSWA)

Welcome to Edinboro University's
Graduate Social Work Association's Home Page

The mission of the Graduate Social Work Association is to develop within its members an appreciation of the diversity of issues, perspectives, values, and beliefs within the contemporary society, and to foster strong professional ethics, according to NASW and commitment to the discipline.  We will facilitate community service, continuing education, the advancement of the profession, and culturally diverse programs.

Founded in the year 2000, by the first MSW class, the Graduate Social Work Association (GSWA) is a service organization created with a dedication to the social work mission.  The GSWA's first project was to create a constitution and become fully recognized by the university and by the Student Government Association.  This having been accomplished, the GSWA is actively participating in service and fundraising activities.

Membership is open to any graduate social work student enrolled at Edinboro University, without regard to sex, race, creed, ancestry, national origin, or disability.
