General Information
The Associate of Arts degree in Human Services is structured to give the student a background in sociological content and fact with an emphasis on practical application. The general goal of the program is to provide the student with the basic knowledge and skills that will allow her/him to assume a variety of professional and para-professional positions. Applied sociological skills, such as data analysis, problem solving, and computer knowledge, are highly sought after in the professional world. The degree allows graduates to work with people and empower them to reach their full potential.
Academics
Each student earning an Associate’s degree in Human Services – Social Services is required to take a set of general education courses as well as courses in three areas of specialization culminating in 60 hours of course work.
