- Enrollment of undergraduate students in school psychology classes
University policy allows undergraduate students at Edinboro and other schools to take a limited number of Edinboro graduate classes under certain conditions. Our school psychology program supports the effort for some students to do this.
Completion of school psychology graduate classes by undergraduate students has several benefits. Undergraduate students are provided with the opportunity to explore the field of school psychology before making a commitment to a full-time graduate program. Graduate classes will transfer to the Edinboro school psychology program and may transfer to other graduate programs.
Below are the university policies addressing enrollment and tuition.
Enrollment of Undergraduate Students
Students enrolled in the undergraduate program of a regionally accredited college or university may enroll in a limited number of graduate courses if 80 or more semester hours of credit have been earned, if their cumulative quality point average is 3.0 or better on a 4 point scale, and if they have the written approval of the course instructor, their advisor, the dean of the appropriate school and the Dean of Graduate Studies and Research. Students must complete the "Permission to Enroll in a Graduate Class" form. (Edinboro University of Pa Graduate Catalogue)
Tuition and Fees for Graduate and Undergraduate Courses
Students at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania are permitted and, sometimes, required to take courses at both the graduate and undergraduate level. Therefore, it is necessary to adapt tuition and fees for such students in an equitable manner since the basic tuition rates are different at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Undergraduate students will be billed for fees at the undergraduate level; post baccalaureate students will be billed for fees at the graduate level. The following policy is adopted to establish tuition and fee charges for students who take graduate and/or undergraduate coursework at the University during an academic period.
An Edinboro undergraduate student who is taking a combination of graduate and undergraduate coursework in a semester whose total credit hours is eighteen hours or less will be billed undergraduate tuition for undergraduate credits and graduate tuition for the graduate credits not to exceed the full-time undergraduate tuition and fee rates.
An Edinboro undergraduate student taking a combination of undergraduate and graduate coursework whose sum of credit hours exceeds eighteen credit hours will be billed for additional tuition at undergraduate rates. (Edinboro University of Pa Undergraduate Catalogue)
