Have your PIN ready. If you have forgotten your PIN or you need to get one, you can retrieve it or apply for one at www.PIN.ed.gov.

Make sure your application contains the correct social security number.

Edinboro University of Pennsylvania’s preferred deadline for filing you FAFSA is March 15th .

Be sure to list Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and our Title IV institutional code 003321 in Section 5 (Colleges to Receive Information) of the FAFSA form.

Use of the IRS data retrieval tool is now required by the United States Department of Education. Please use this helpful link if you have already submitted your taxes.
NOTE: This is not required for non-tax files. -
Parents and students should report all sources of untaxed income. For example, you should include child support, worker’s compensation, etc.

Do not report the amounts of income from social security benefits. You are only required to report that you receive the benefits by placing a check mark in the appropriate box when prompted on the FAFSA.

Divorced parents sometimes include their ex-spouse’s income. They should only list their income and that of their current spouse.
