Veterans Policy

  Veteran Educational Benefits and Financial Aid Requirements

Federal regulations no longer require that most educational related benefits received by military personnel, veterans, and/or their dependents be reported on the FAFSA.  Please refer to the information below to determine which benefits must still be taken into consideration when packaging financial aid.

FTA (Federal Tuition Assistance)

100% Tuition and Fees

(LESS EAP funding)

Maximum award: $4500 during fiscal year

(10/1-9/30)

  • Funds disbursed by Financial Aid Office:

 FATF=Fall

FATS=Spring

FTAR=Summer

  • Counts as a resource
  • May reduce need based aid
  • Funds are counted as gift aid in PHEAA grant formula
