iTunes and Podcasting at Edinboro University of PA

Welcome to Edinboro University's iTunesU website.  As of January 2008, a small number of faculty are piloting our podcasting efforts by collecting content and providing feedback and recommendations as to how we should proceed with our iTunesU presence.  iTunesU (known as iTunes University) is a global service provided by Apple Inc. which provides a central location for universities to store their academic audio and video content.   iTunes is a widely acceptable media management application and this is the same common interface used to access Edinboro University's iTunesU site.  The content can be made available for public access or secured for Edinboro University students and employees only.  The common term used for broadcasting the content is known as podcasting and there are many tools available for creating and uploading podcast type files to the iTunesU site.  This website will provide you with access to information about podcasting, the tools available for you to create and upload podcasts and how to use Apple's iTunes application to access Edinboro University's podcasts.

The project includes two sites:

  • a public site which includes Edinboro University courses, faculty lectures, event highlights, music, sports, and additional publicly available content.
NOTE- the public site is currently under construction and very little content currently exists.  Please contact Mr. Ron Cox in our Publications and Marketing department if you have material you would like published on this site.
  • an access-restricted site which is for course work linked to iTunesU materials.  Work through your department's iTunesU Liaison for assistance on uploading material to your department's area within this site.

You must have iTunes installed to use the iTunesU site.  Click here to download the latest version.
