Associate Vice President for Human Resources and Faculty Relations
Mr. Sid Booker
Though Sid Booker joined the administration at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in April 2007 as Associate Vice President for Human Resources and Faculty Relations, he has been a member of the Edinboro family for much longer. Booker is a 1972 Edinboro graduate, having received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. He went on to earn a master's degree in Counseling from Gannon University in Erie.
Booker has been working in a managerial capacity in the Human Resources and Employee Relations fields for over 25 years. Before joining the Edinboro administration, he served as the Director for Employee Relations and EEO at Amsco International, Inc., a manufacturer of medical equipment and industrial products with approximately 3,000 employees. He went on to work for Steris Corp., a global manufacturer of electromechanical and consumable products for health care and scientific industry with 4,700 employees, as its Vice President for Human Resources before founding his own executive search firm, Booker & Associates, Inc., in 2001.
Mr. Booker enjoys jazz and R&B music along with a variety of sports, including bowling, basketball, and football. He is active in his community, having recently served as a board member for the United Way in Lake County, Ohio, the YMCA of Lake County, and the Lake County Workforce Development Council. He and his wife, Michelle, have two sons, Brian and Miles, and a daughter, Lea.
