Congratulations to our Class of 2018 graduates!

Focus on Allegheny

billboard 2

You may have seen us popping up more often in the Allegheny Region. That's because, of the 38,776 Edinboro University alumni living in Pennsylvania, 34,740 of you reside in Western PA. Of Western PA residents, 6,144 EU alumni live in Allegheny County, second only to Erie County. You're more than a number to us. We want to get to know you better.

In addition to increased promotion of Edinboro University in your area, the Alumni Engagement Office is expanding services to better meet your needs. This fall we welcomed Allison Flynn to our team as Director of Regional Development.

Introducing TartanEdge: A New Tool for You

The Center for Career Development and Experiential Learning recently launched TartanEdge, EU's online portal for career development. TartanEdge is free to use and accessible to all alumni at any level in your career.  This one-stop-shop is updated daily with new jobs, blogs, professional development information and articles/videos tailored to your needs and interests.

TartanEdge allows you to connect with your career community for pairings with related degrees, employers and networking opportunities based on your profile. It also allows you to identify with an equity community including "veteran" to help you find resources specific to your experience.

Services through TartanEdge include:

·     Access to the online job interview preparation series, Big Interview. Receive coaching on the fundamentals of interviewing in hundreds of different fields, and practice with an actor.

·     Access to Traitify, our career assessment tool that shows how your personality matches up with hundreds of different career paths. Once you discover the careers that are best for you, you will see real-world data on demand, salary, job listings and more.

·     Access to HirEU, our online job board where 1,000+ employers post new opportunities daily. We feature these jobs in our NEW alumni affinity communities for early career, mid-career and advanced/executive career alumni.

·     Connect with EU's LinkedIn alumni tool to see where other Edinboro alumni are working.

If you graduated within the last 12 month, you also have access to three 30-minute appointments with one of our professional career coaches at no charge. Alumni who graduated less than 36 months ago receive at least one 30-minute appointment for free. These appointments can be in-person, over the phone, or via video conference.

Click here to create your TartanEdge profile. Interested in scheduling an appointment? Email careerdevelopment@edinboro.edu or call (814) 732-2781.
