Audio Visual Equipment
Many rooms in the Student Center have built-in audio-visual equipment, but some reservable spaces do not. The following is a list of portable equipment that is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Equipment should be requested at the time the reservation for space is made.
- Portable sound system with mixer
- Mic stand
- Projection screen
- LCD projector
- Coat rack
- CD player
- 6 ft. table
- 8 ft. table
AV Equipment Guidelines
- Student Organizations requiring the use of audio-visual/media equipment should plan to make the request for such equipment as far in advance of their scheduled event as possible, preferably at the time of the reservation request.
- At minimum, requests should be made at least 5 business days in advance. Requests made less than 5 business days in advance of an event will be considered last-minute requests and will be honored as long as the equipment and staff are available and if the requestor hasn’t habitually made last-minute requests. Abuse of this policy will result in last-minute requests being denied and/or a last-minute charge being applied to the requestor’s account.
- Student Organizations or Campus Departments requesting the use of equipment may do so only for use within the Student Center. Only under special circumstances, and only by written approval by the Assistant Director of the Student Center, may equipment leave the building. Additionally, sponsoring organizations are responsible for properly handling all equipment. Damage to equipment from neglect or improper handling will result in the sponsoring organization being charged for the cost of repairs and/or replacement of the equipment.
There may be nominal charges for audio-visual/media equipment for organizations who are not affiliated with the University.
