Technology Help Center
Learning Technology Services (LTS) are facilitated and maintained by a dedicated team of managers and students workers, and their roles include the provision of support and training in the following key areas.
The Faculty Development Center is a technology and training resource provided for Edinboro faculty. The Center includes current PCs and Macs with a range of instructional authoring software and tools. Support is provided by LTS staff who can facilitate one-on-one sessions or group consultations.
Faculty will soon have 24-hour access to the Center using an ID card swipe. Currently, the Center is open during regular office hours.

The Distance Education staff can provide support and training on all the key products being used by our online faculty. Dr. Jim Boulder, Manager of Online Programs and Instructional Design, and Sandy Dell, LMS Administrator, are available to consult on all aspects of course design and development. The Learning Technology Services staff is committed to furthering the professional development of faculty and staff by hosting a variety of development opportunities each month. The offered services include instruction on current PCs and Macs with a range of educational authoring software and tools. Each month, the LTS staff hosts a variety of professional development sessions in a dedicated 14-seat computer lab. View and register for these trainings and events here.

As the calendar of events changes, faculty and staff are encouraged to provide recommendations and requests for additional professional development opportunities and topics such as workshops, webinars, guest speakers, focus groups or similar. Media Services includes a comprehensive equipment loaning facility, videoconferencing support, instructional two-way television support, media duplication, and general multimedia consultation.

Lecture Capturing services are also available on this site using the myMediaSite capturing device. The LTS Staff can train you on how to use the myMediaSite services to upload your own lectures. A PDF tutorial for using myMediaSite can be found here.

LTS staff members can provide training on how to use classroom technology, and they can also advise you on which technologies best fit your classroom needs. Dan Mitchell is Edinboro’s lead contact for faculty development and support using classroom technologies.

You can also open a ticket by logging into my.Edinboro.edu and clicking on the “TECH HELP” link under the LaunchPad and submitting a Technology Help Center request.
