Regional Fiddle Competition        

Competition will be held at the Edinboro Highland Games, in the Frank G. Pogue Student Center on the campus of Edinboro University on Friday September 5, 2014. Sanctioned and Adjudicated by Scottish F.I.R.E. Ltd.

SCHEDULE

5:00-6:00p.m. – Registration, Frank G. Pogue Student Center Lobby

6:00p.m. – Fiddle Workshop with judge, Ryan McKasson. This is open to competitors and non-competitors. Location: Frank G. Pogue Center Theater (ground floor near the lobby)

7:00p.m.
– Regional Competition, Frank G. Pogue Center Theater.

Fiddle Judge: Ryan McKasson

The competition will be operated under the rules of the SCOTTISH F.I.R.E. organization. Click here for a listing of F.I.R.E. competition guidelines. 

Traditional Highland Dress is required for the Open and Junior competitions. 
Novice competitions will allow Modified Concert Dress, but Traditional Highland is recommended.

Winners of the Open and Junior competition may be recommended to compete in the National Competition.

9:00-11:00 a.m. – Junior U.S. National Scottish Fiddle Competition, Frank G. Pogue Center Theater

11:00-12:00 p.m.
– Fiddle Workshop -- open to competitors and non-competitors, Theater

1:00-3:00 p.m. Open U.S. National Scottish Fiddle Competition, Pogue Center Theater

3:30-5:00 p.m. Musician session in the gazebo (open to all)
