Pipe Band Competitions
Edinboro Highland Games & Scottish Festival
September 6, 2014
Sponsored by the Edinboro University Alumni Association & Friends
The 2014 Pipe Band competitions feature EUSPBA – sanctioned Grade IV and Grade V competitions. Only Pipe Bands registered with EUSPBA or other Pipe Band Associations recognized by EUSPBA will be accepted. (Exception: any non-member band, not having previously competed in an EUSPBA-sanctioned Games, may join the EUSPBA at the games and compete. Registration deadlines must still be met.) Current EUSPBA rules apply and all decisions by judges, stewards, and other festival officials are FINAL.
All bands must appear in both massed bands to qualify for prize and travel money. Complete entries, with fees and rosters, must be postmarked by August 16, 2014. NO FIELD ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
A contest committee will handle the drawing for competition order of play at the piping and drumming registration table at 10:00 AM. Bands should have a representative in attendance. Bands should be in the staging area 10 minutes prior to their posted playing time.
