Thursday, March 14, 2013 – Tuesday, March 19, 2013 This field trip will focus on the history, culture and geography of the Civil Rights Movement and the Civil War. Travel to various historial and cultural sites of the movement and the war focusing specifically on the path of Atlanta to Savannah, Georgia. The topic of the trip is America Divided: Civil War to Civil Rights. The cost of the trip is $325.00 which covers accommodations (Springhill Suites). breakfast, van rental, gas, parking and tolls. Participants are responsible for lunch, dinner, snacks and souvenirs. Many of the places we will visit have no entry fees, however, there may be a few other sites that have a fee. There will also be free time to visit sites that are not on the itinerary. The trip is limited to seventeen students. A $150.00 nonrefundable deposit is required.
